Hello,

I've been working with Finale for 32 years as a composer and 12 as a teacher. 5 years ago I met MuseScore and 4 years ago I started teaching it. For 3 last years we have offered Finale and MuseScore courses at the school, but there have been no more Finale courses. The students come to MuseScore. The next step is to offer MuseScore online.

The online MuseScore course is offered from the municipal music school in Bilbao, BilbaoMusika Eskola. It's in Spanish. It is studied during a school year through video tutorials and videoconference. Students are rated for their work (24 exercises and 12 questionnaires) and a final exam.

The lessons are:

  1. Quick start window and assistant.
  2. Edition with alphanumeric keyboard, layout, frames and images.
  3. Transposing instruments, voices, articulations and dynamics.
  4. Staves and bars.
  5. MIDI Edition, lyrics, Soundfonts and parts.
  6. Repeats, tempo, measure, key signatures and clefs.
  7. Tabs and change of note heads.
  8. Audio and parts.
  9. Video and web.
  10. Plugins and extensions.
  11. Conversion of pdf to score.
  12. From other formats to .mscz.
