Not bugs, just annoying!

Lyrics won't copy using the filter ... copying lyrics is a great time saver when writing choral works. This is annoying.
More annoying is that dynamic markings drop straight on top of lyrics, and very difficult to grab and move away with the mouse ... usually the lyrics gets grabbed instead.

Crescendo and diminuendo "arrows" cannot be copied and pasted, but can be dragged with Ctrl Shift so that isn't so annoying, I guess.

I am trying hard to stick with MuseScore over Sibelius, but these annoying things make it difficult.

  • Crescendo and diminuendo "arrows" AKA hairpins can be copied and pasted, and do by default (i.e. unless deselected in selection filter)
  • Lyrics don't copy without the notes they are attached to, that much is By Design
  • Dynamics have a default position that indeed conflicts with the default position of lyrics, there's an open feature request of be able to make this part of the staff properties, so below a normal instrument, but above a vocal staff, so that part would be a duplicate, in 2.x you can use a score style setting. Also in 3.0 you will be able to easily select Above or Below for many elements, Dynamics and Lyres are amongst those
