How to add a bass clef line
I have a treble line. I want to add a separate bass line now. Is there a way to do this?

Then I guess you have "Hide empty staves" enabled?

What if you only want to add the bass clef halfway through the piece? Mine starts in unison then goes into 4 part.

This doesn't seem to work in MU4.

I just figured out a way to do it - You go to 'I,' add Piano. Now you have a Piano part with a Grand Staff part below it. You copy and paste whatever you had from the original treble clef onto the treble clef in the new Grand Staff; then, you go back to 'I' and delete the first piano part.

That would work, but there is no need to do that just to add a staff. Instead, look at the Instruments panel in the left sidebar. Click the gear icon next to the instrument, then click the "Add staff" button.
In the future, though, it is usually best to not just start with the default score, but to actually set it up the way you want right from the beginning. When you begin work on a new score, start with File / New, and you can then select exactly what you want.

I appreciate your wanting to help, but your response is so obvious as not to be useful. Clearly, the question is, once you've already started a project, how would one then add a bass clef line?
