View score pages vertically in an easier way
When editing scores I find uncomfortable that after I enter the last note on the last staff of a page, the pointer jumps horizontally and vertically to reach the beginning of the next page. It would be way easier if the following page would follow (pardon the pun) the latest one, so that the previous staff could still be visible.
Searching through the forums I found this Feature Request https://musescore.org/en/node/38866 where the last comments https://musescore.org/en/node/38866#comment-471886 tells that a preference exists.
First of all, I'd like to say it was not so obvious where to look for that feature, plus it could easily be a randomly chosen way to view scores - as I said when editing vertical pages can be easier, but when playing I think it is the opposite - so see more like a program execution setting, that may change from session to session.
So this it so suggest the addition of a button or similar control to the toolbar (like those found e.g. in PDF readers) to change Scroll Page direction.
Of course among the Preferences that setting can still be the user default direction.

See also #100486: Make vertical/horizontal scrolling be a score setting, not global preference. To me, making it a score style setting makes sense, but exposing this setting via the toolbar (as we do for Concert Pitch as well as Page/Continuous view) is a good idea too. Hmm, what is the current Page/Continuous/Single dropdown just had Page Vertical and Page Horizontal as separate settings?
@Marc +1 for adding Vertical and Horizontal to the layout mode dropdown.

Thank you.
If I got your last question right and you meant moving from:
to:
(or some clearer labels) I totally agree, would make the options easy to find.
