Staves become invisible when score is cut.

Downloaded this score from musescore website, to use as a template for a second movement. I use the latest version of MuseScore, though the download may be slightly earlier. The score is my own. When I "cut" the score, to clear it, the staves disappeared, though the rehearsal marks remained.
