Failure to save as/export sound files

I'm using MuseScore 2.3.2. When I try to save the score as a midi, wav or mp3 file, the application aborts with a Visual C++ runtime error. The message says the application attempted to close in an 'unusual' manner and to notify the application support team. Is this an isolated problem with my system, or has it been reported by others. The error persists, even after rebooting the computer. No other problems seem to occur and the score plays OK when the play button is used.
