I entered the workspace advance palette but still can not find the double dots for the augmentation. I found two kinds of double dots they are above or below the note. Can you help? Thanks a lot.
That's not the advanced workspace, it's the basic. You need to change using the control at the bottom of the palettes. Then the double-dot appears on the toolbar.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Impatient me just searched for the advanced palette in Help and I found it that way, but I'll definitely come back to this later :)
I do not succeed in switching to the Advanced Workspace, as I do not find that anywhere.
However, the shortcut change works just fine, so that resolved my problem. Thanks!
Things have indeed changed since 2019 when those original instructions applied. Now, there are controls to customize the toolbar right there in the toolbar - just click the gear button at far right to add double dot or any other controls you like, remove ones yoh don’t need, etc.

Welcome, see the Note Input toolbar

It is in the Advanced Workspace
You have to be in the advanced workspace to see this. You can also assign a shortcut to the double dot.

Thank you Satatella. I did as you said, changed to the Basc of workspace but still can not see the double-dot on the toolbar. Did I missed some steps?

No, you are already in the Basic. You need to change to Advanced.
