MS Scores in an Unusual Place
This afternoon I sat down with MS and went to open a score that I had previously saved. MS didn't open the usual location, this time it opened a file with a weird name. Please see the image below:
There are 38 of these scores, most of them under 3K. How long will MS keep these files there, and what happens if I delete them?

They will stay there forever, they are autosaved versions and usually leftovers from a crash

Thank you for responding.
So it's okay to delete them? (I don't think this system has ever crashed since I bought it 2 years ago.)

Looking at the date of those scores, some of them are quite recent. When in doubt, open them first and if needed perform a "Save As" and give them a recognizable name.
After that you're entirely free to delete them from your system.
