Changing instruments in Staff/Part Properties
Need help changing instruments, instrument name and clef for only specific parts/sections. When I make changes in Staff/Part Properties box, the entire score is affected. Any know how's?

When I make changes in Staff/Part Properties box, the entire score is affected. I am only concerned with specific parts of score. Any know how's to avoid the entire score changing?

The link I provided above is an explanation of how to change the instrument part way through the score on an existing staff. It sounds like what you want.

It is, that's correct. But the instrument and name change affects the whole score. I don't want that. Maybe someone else is familiar with my question. Thanks man

You need to attach the score, because using instrument change text does not change the entire score, only from the instrument change forward.

I wish man. No score to attach. I am using a "scratch" pg learning Musescore functions etc... check it out:
two staffed part: top is Alto viola. bottom is Bass cello. When I change the top staff (from cello to viola), all of my score ends up changing. Instead of the specific part I need to make the change on, the entire score now matches what I told it do. Try for yourself. You'll see...

Specifically, read the part about the "Instrument" element on the Text menu, and the associated commands for then changing the instrument right at that point in the score.
