Two questions about dynamics
Hi, Gang!!!
I use MuseScore 3.0.5 (not the Portable AppImage) in UbuntuStudio 18.04.2 LTS (64 bit Linux).
I have two questions about dynamics:
1) What is the exact meaning of the characters "m" "r" "s" "z" "n" and "???" ? ???
2) It is known that the new version will let us to feel the dynamics change into the whole length of any note, whatever the note length was (something that we cannot to get now). I wonder if that new "function" will give us some chance to set, individually, the dynamics of the notes, full independently of the global variation...
Blessings and Greetings from Chile, South America!!!

m = mezzo = moderately in English (e.g. mf = mezzo forte = moderately loud)
??? is what you click to add items from the master palette
s is a prefix and z is a suffix mostly used with one or more f's to indicate a forceful or accented dynamic.
n, I haven't seen, but my guess it means not or nothing (n would stand for niente in that case, which I have seen).
r stands for the prefix rin which indicates reinforcing, i.e. emphasized.
s, z, & r have various precise interpretations by different people depending upon what else is happening in the score.
Here's a page I found that has all of these explained: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wik…

n -> niente -> nothing

Thank you so much, Jojo!!!
I have doubts about because here, in Chile, it is not often used (probably, never).
BTW: I think some dynamics sign more used is "morendo" (I don't know if there is an standard abbreviation), which is the equivalent to "Fade Out". I can't see it into the Master palette nor the Dynamics options.

I use the dim. line for morendo and change the text.

Oh!!! I see your point!!!
Thank you so much for the idea!!!
BTW: Why those lines are not into the Dynamics palette as default? ???

There are too many options and it's so easy to add one to your custom palette if you prefer something besides the default.
