Handling two different keyboards in the piano part
I'm notating a score where the piano part is written with two staves as usual, however they are both treble clef and the top clef is electric piano and the bottom clef is synth strings. Both parts are played by the same player, sometimes at the same time. I wasn't sure if I could define two instruments and then combine them with a curly or square bracket and then the notes in each staff would align with each other. Hope that makes sense. How do I accomplish this in MuseScore so that it will play back properly?

Yes, add 2 pianos or synthesizers, remove their bass clef staves, add the bracket and maybe even lenthen the barlines

Got it done. Thanks you.
You have described the only way to do it. You can also span the barlines to the next staff so it looks like a grand staff if you want.
