I have no idea what shortcuts there are to use. I am specifically looking for the keyboard shortcuts for lines. need help

There are none, so you can stop searching for them. Maybe this year's GSoC might bring in this missing feature

There are not many, but a couple do exist, go to Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts and you'll find commands listed for:
Note anchored line
Add crescendo
Add decrescendo
Add ottava 8va alta
Add ottava 8va bassa
All but "Note anchored line" have shortcuts defined by default.

These have shortcuts, but not because they are on a palette ;-)
Same for staccato, some accidentals, system- and staff text
