Excluded bars still counted
When bars are excluded from the bar count, this is not reflected in the running bar count that appears at the foot of the screen. See screenshot. I have marked 2 bars as excluded from the bar count, but Bar 33 is shown as bar 35.

See: #286135: Measure counter is incorrect
MuseScore shows the internal measure number in the status bar. Also those infamous message about corruptions in a score show those internal measure numbers and the Ctrl+F got function takes these internal numbers as the one to jump to.
So indeed this is by design. There was a discussion not too long ago whether to also show the 'logical' measure number in that status bar.
