question about copying and pasting a section of notes with text repeatedly with the note after or before changed

For instance, if I were to do the song 99 bottles of beer on the wall with the same repated text or lyrics,except for the first beat or lyric that has number in front, is there a way to copy and paste the repeated notes with text lyrics part for many reverses with the first beat left empty as a rest so I could add the note with the text lyric number later that's changes for every repeated verse without the alignment getting messed up.

my project isn't doing that song but the concept is similar where I copy past the notes with text for the 2nd, third, and 4th beat of a measure and was adding the notes with text for the first beat afterwards to save time, but then it comes out all messed up or misaligned
