Why is this so hard?
I really miss a searchable help file. I want to do things that I think should be simple and I just can't find out how. For example, I'm trying to enter in a simple 12 bar tune., I want 4 bars on each of three lines. I've got two lines of 5 bars and one line of 2. There out to be a way to hit a carriage return somewhere to push a bar down to the next line but if there is I can't find it. Is there no easy way to format the number of bars on a line or to move a bar down from the end of one line to the start of the next one?

unsure what the shortcut options icons point to, but resetting system breaks to every 4 measures did the job. thanks.

If you decide you want a measure to be the last measure on a system (a line of music) select the measure and press the enter/return on the alphabetic keyboard.

oh, while the other answer fixed me up, your answer tells me what I was doing wrong. I was trying to move a measure down by selecting it and hitting enter, but I should have been selecting the prior measure. What I tried did nothing since the measure was already at the end of the line. Next time I'll try selecting the measure I want last. Thanks.
Select measure, press Return. Can't get easier, can it?
