Want to add a glissando to a note but the gliss goes from the original note to the next measure which is a rest. How do I do this

The glissando must be between two notes. MuseScore expects there to be a next note.
Maybe you rather want a 'Slide out down/up' instead?

Is this a way of showing in your music for a player to slide down the notes as in a jazz style. Not sure if that is put over in the right way
