File dialogs bookmarks

I am using version 3.2.3 for Linux. When I use the open or save commands, a file dialog opens up which has folder bookmarks in the left pane. Clicking on one of these folder bookmarks opens that folder in the main dialog pane. A folder can be dragged from the main dialog pane to the bookmarks pane to create a new bookmark. However, the next time I open or save, that new bookmark is gone (which negates the whole point of creating bookmarks of course). These bookmarks were saved in version 2.x.
