Consistent measure width
I'm writing up some chord-only scores and it'd be quite useful to specify that every measure in a given line should occupy the same width. Is that possible? If so, how?
If that's not possible, what's the best way to adjust their width manually? Adjusting the leading space or the x-offset of barlines (understandably) affects the width of other measures. Adjusting the "Layout strech" is sometimes feasible, but most of the time it's hard to guess which value works. Is there a better way to control a measure's width?
Although I realize that this is a bad idea in general (and I've read a couple of forum posts where this issue is discussed), I've attached an example where I find aligned measures would be more aesthetic and functional.

Adjusting stretch is the best way, but not by guessing values in Measure Properties - instead use the shortcuts "{" and "}". You can also experiment with setting appropriately large valeus for minimum measure width in Format / Style / Measure.

Thanks for the tip, Marc. While it's still a bit tricky to get the measures to align perfectly, the shortcuts you've suggested help a lot. Format / Style / Measure doesn't work for me, I think, because I sometimes want different numbers of bars per line.
