how to create a suspended cymbal roll

I'm looking for guidance to create a suspended cymbal roll in the score. Also, I am reading the community looking for existing discussions.

Use a tremolo for a roll on any unpitched instrument?
One thing that typically happens with a cymbal roll is a crescendo. If you put a tremolo on the note (this is normal notation) and a piano pedal mark under it and make it invisible, you will get the crescendo and a smoother roll than only a tremolo.

I use the one that starts ped and ends with the *.
This SoundFont has been a lifesaver. I had always needed a suspended cymbal/cymbal roll sound, and it took me forever to find this one. It's not very customizable (as in it can only be a certain length), but it at least gets a good cymbal roll sound.

Well, if you are using MuseScore 4, you don't need this SoundFont anymore. They added a suspended cymbal (see https://musescore.org/en/node/337896) for MuseScore 4. However, if you still want to use the SoundFont, simply download the file, find "Musescore 3" or "MuseScore 4" in your file explorer (most likely in your documents folder), then paste the file into the "SoundFonts" folder.
