what about the flag of a eighth note, for example? How do I get rid of that? Thanks

Yes, in staff propertied disable the time signature
And to avoid barlines, merge the measures or use note insert mode

Either select the flag and make it invisble, or pick another duration (like a quarter or longer)
Select all similar->Inspector->Stemless

Select all similar > Inspector > Chord > Stemless
You can actually make stemless notes the default for staff in Staff Properties, same place you can make no time signatures be the default
