save. save as
some confusion here. i clicked Save. then i tried to click also Save As but it said i already saved it and asked if i wanted to replace it. so can you not both save a copy and start a new file with same copy?

The only reason it should be "some silly letters" is if you are starting from an autosave file, then it's that filename. And in that case, you also want to be sure you choose a more approrpaite folder.
But you can afely change both the folder and filename any time you use Save As. In fact you absolutely should - using Save As then giving the same folder & filename is generally speaking a bad idea.
