measure length (or width)
some of the measures in ym score are one length, when i added others they are much shorter, i went to style, measure, and set the minimum width and clicked ok but still no change to uniform width. what to do?

Empty measures are 'shorter' because they are not fleshed out with notes. Enter the music and then worry about formatting.
Having said that, and if you prefer to see 4 measures per line, go to Format -> Add/Remove System Breaks... where you can, for example, 'Break systems every 4 measures'.
(You can do this to an empty score to give you the 'old school' look of manuscript paper with 4 measures per line.)
