Default empty bar rest symbol
Hi, Gang!!!
I use Musescore 3.2.3 with Ubuntu Studio 19.10 (64 bits Linux).
I have a very great doubt about the default empty bar rest symbol used by Musescore.
According to my very limited knowledge, it is absolutely impossible to fit a whole note duration time inside a 3/8 (just as an example) time signature bar.
But... This is what we get always!!!
Musescore uses the whole note rest to fill all empty bars, despite the time signature we are using!!!
Is it right with the international standard musical notation rule (if there is one related with this)? ???
Can we change this default behavour? How?
Just a doubt.
Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!

That sounds right https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rest_(music)
The only exceptions are for a 4/2 time signature
A whole rest is not the same as a whole measure rest. The former has a fixed duration and is left aligned in a measure the latter is centered and it's duration is that of the entire measure, in any time signature.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/measure-rests#full-measure-rest
Thanks a lot for all your data, fellows!!!
