I just install Musescore on ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS and i have these error:

In the window , all is very big, more big than my display. I can't see a sheet

Enter "Monitor" in the search box->set the monitor resolution

The resolution is ok, i think. All others applications run good.

If you click a shortcut to start musescore you should be able to put it into the shortcut. I know you can do this on windows and I'd be surprised if you cannot on linux or mac.
