Getting the palet menu filled in and set to the left

Hi,

Since the last update, when I click on "Main Palet" in tab "View", I only get it as a pop up window and it is not placed right at the left side of the window. When I click on "Palet" (the first option under tab "View", I get an empty palet.
How do I get it fixed?
