Slow to export to pdf
I used the previous Musescore version extensively for publishing PDF scores in every key for my students to learn reading. However with the latest version a pdf now takes at least 5 minutes to process. This is way too slow!
I tested an earlier score that use to export to PDF in any key immediatley and now it also takes 5 minutes to process using this latest version.
Please show me how to go back to the previous version as I have an urgent work deadline.
Musescore version 3.3.3.24345.

I wonder how to fix it then? I rebooted my computer and tried again but 5 minutes later...

I'm curious if you are using export to PDF or Print to PDF. Did you try the other? I know it doesn't fix the problem but it might get you better results.

When I printed to PDF it just hung before it even gave me the dialogue box. I had to force quit.
I haven't changed anything on my computer between the older version and newer version of Musescore, so I can't see that it has anything to do with my computer setup.
I wish I could go back to the older version and get on with my work cause I was singin its praises to all my colleagues before that. So sad : (

I take that to mean that the Export to PDF was the slow issue. To get you in business, you can save the score online and download a PDF of it. You don't even need to make it public. Once again, I'm not sure how to fix it, but this is a possible workaround.

Thanks for the workaround mike320. Unfortunately it takes just as long to 'process'.
Any thoughts on retrograding to the previous version?

I'm not sure what worked for you, but versions through 3.2.3 are available at https://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/musescore/releases/.
I will add that you are the only person I've heard with this problem. If a previous version helps it may tell us it's a MuseScore problem, but I suspect you will find out it's not MuseScore.

Ok, let me try a previous version and get back to you. At least I will know what to start investigating. Thank you.

You'll get it from https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/releases/tag/v3.3.2
Which older version was working better? Could be a conflict with something else on your system and not directly related to the version of MuseScore at all - really very little has changed in the way of PDF export. But there were some bugs fixed here and there, I can't see how they'd cause that effect and they don't seem to have affected anyone else, which is why I suspect it's an interaction with something else going on with your particular syste,
