I can't reproduce. But I'm on MuseScore 3.3.3, that score stems from 3.2.3, so try to update and see whether that solves the issue for you too.
I have deleted and reentered the measure. What I did: inserted 2 measures before measure 29. Reentered the notes and lyrics into the first of those measures. Selected measure 28, used ctrl+alt+left arrow to expand the selection to measure 27 and pressed ctrl+delete and it worked well.
Cross post fixed
As I wrote, in 3.3.3 there is no problem deleting that measure, no infinite loop, no crash, it just works
I tried save as musicxml and then reloaded from that file. Still crashed.
I note in passing that file management is iffy - save as does not clearly distinguish new file from old. If you save as and then load old file, it replaces the window rather than being a new window. Also list of recent files seems to be a debugging tool rather than a real list of user files. Also the dot files are not deleted when Musescore ends.
I edited the xml file and removed bar 27 by hand. I think I am done. No - I crash whenI try and delete a bar again, waiting... for musescore for to respond... failed again. I see several responses to my note - will try them and will update first. Thanks all.
New release deals with it. Thanks very much
