How are note names rendered into the note heads?
Musescore can render note names into note heads, like C, C# ... or even solfege like Do, Re, Mi.
Are these rendered as seperate characters? i.e. for Do, is the D and the o rendered seperately? i see that in the final render output the "o" is raised slightly while the D is at the baseline, giving an impression of "o" is used as a superscript to "Do".
I looked into the internal glyphs of the mscore font, but didn't find the required glyphs for "Do"

These are special note heads, as SMuFL provides

When I look at the "mscore" font (formely Emmentaler) with FontForge, I can't locate the special note heads. Would it be possible to get the locations of these noteheads in the "mscore.sfd" file?

They may exist in Bravura only. MuseScore uses Bravura as a fallback for glyphs missing in other fonts

Thanks for the pointers, it was very helpful, and I was looking in the wrong place.
Bravura it is then, even though you select "mscore" in Musescore.
I also found a list of note heads at this link https://www.smufl.org/version/latest/range/noteNameNoteheads/
Thanks again!
