Tool Tips on macOS are truncated at around 25-26 characters using the default font.

OS: OS X El Capitan (10.11), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.0., revision: 9c1b6fc

An example: File -> Parts… -> hover over buttons All Parts / Single Part

Result

Workaround:

Preferences -> General -> (under Theme) Font face: change from ".SF NS Text" to "Tahoma"

Regression: yes, displays full tool tip in 2.3.2 by default (2.3.2 does not have the ability to change the font)

Adding the Concert Pitch button tool tip (since what is truncated seems relative to the full string length (e.g. as a percentage) rather than an absolute character limit (e.g. 25/26 as I initially thought)

Full string (shown correctly when switching Tahoma font)

New part for each instrument
New part for selected voices/instruments (string was recently changed, as seen in 3.4Beta)
Switch between concert/sounding pitch and transposing/written pitch

Result (when using ".SF NS Text" font, initially or switching back)

New part for each instrum # 3 chars truncated
New part for selected voices/instrum # 3 chars truncated
Switch between concert/sounding pitch and transposing/writ # 9 chars truncated

When you switch back to ".SF NS Text", the tool tips truncate again (change is immediate, no app restart required)
