Barline/repeat
I want a repeat to start inside a bar from a line that I inserted.
But it is not doing that.
When I drop the sign it is starting from the start of the bar in which I had put the line.
Advice/instructions good people?

Mid measure barlines indeed don't affect playback; Split the measure first, then apply the repeat barline(s) to the measure.

I did that.
But I am not getting repeat playback.

I think maybe you aren't understanding what "split the measure" means here. It doesn't mean adding a barline, it means using Tools / Measure / Split Measure Before Selected Note/Rest.
