Opening music sheets from older versions on MuseScore 3
Everything (lyrics, guitar chords... except the notes) is out of place when I open an *.mcsz created using an older version.
What should I do to solve the problem?

You can always open old versions on the old versions of MuseScore, you can have severals versions of MS on your PC
Things will generally be pretty similar if you didn't make extensive use of manually positioning in your original score - in particular, if you used manually positioning for reasons other than to workaround deficiencies in the default layout of older versions. if you did make a lot of manual adjhustments that you need to keep honored despite the vastly improved defaults in MuseScore 3, be sure to answer "no" to when MuseScore suggests resetting things to defaults, and in that case things should at least be "pretty close" in most cases. If you have a particular case where this isn't working as well as you'd expect, please attach an example so we can understand and advise better.
