Drum Input Palette (3.4): problem with mouse-entry of notes

The changeover to a single-click interface means that mouse-entry of notes from the drum Input palette (DIP) no longer works as it should. One possible solution is simply to restore the MS 3.3.4 behaviour. But, alternatively, the DIP could be made to work as follows:

1. Single-click an instrument in the DIP to select it.
2. After selecting the instrument, a single click on the instrument or the staff enters a note.
3. To select another instrument, click on that instrument.
4. Repeat step 2.
5. And so on …
