new to musescore (help please)
hi there,
The sun is shining today. I was told by musescore to come here for help ,
im writing tabulature in musescore , now i need to get my tabulature from musescore into my desktop or wherever . i,e downloads or my documents ,, Im exporting it rather than save as (if i save as and save it to somewhere on my p.c when i open it it opens the whole program with my tab ive writen ) rather than just the page that has the tab ?? ) NOW instead ive tried exporting it , i have to do it as PDF as i want to have the tab available for my students ,, i also want to put the tab into my you tube videos ) now i know this is possible as others have told me they use musescore to add the tab to there video ,, (NOW THE PROBLEM) when i open the pdf file with my tab in it is in black and white (the background is black and the score or lines with the tan are white ,, And the tab numbers have a square round them that makes it almost unreadable ?? Is this something im doing wrong ?? I have made sure my wallpaper is a bright colour ,, but what i will say is all my DESKTOP icons are black ??could this be why i have a black background ?? there is no where i can find to change this in the settings ,, only the desktop colour i can change ,,,
I apologize for the long email , I just wanted to explain myself properly . I.m frustrated , i,ve been playing guitar 35 years , so i,m good on guitar but not so on technology (this is really holding me back as i need to teach as a hobby but cant even get a musescore tab for my students to read,,
VERY KIND REGARDS and thank you in advance for your help Jim

As long as it is, as confusing it is too, I'm afraid. I have no idea what the actual problem is you're experiencing?
You have a score (from musescore.com?) that you want to add tablature to?
How does opening a PDF comes into play here?
Who or what is that 'musescore' that sent you here? A reply to an email of your's to support@musescore.com? To what question exactly?
What Operating system, what version of MuseScore are you using? Can you share that score (i.e. attach it here)? And more clearly describe what the issue is?
Does this relate to your earlier post, https://musescore.org/en/node/302418, and if so how?

Thanks yes i think its musescore 3 ,, I have windows p.c AMD 8 A 8 gb ram quad core etc , i did go into my system to check when i downloaded pro tools first , i know all my system requirements are good enough for this program ,, To say the problem in simple terms yes i have a score , its only a test score i do each time just to get use to musescore ,, now when i export it to my desktop or documents , or wherever so i can find it (when i open it its black backgroung and the score is white (so almost unreadable}
NOW the PDF if you go to you tube and go guitar tuition , most of the tabulature that they add is in PDF , so if im doing a patreon on you tube where students can download the tab ive writen (it appears it has to be in PDF)
sorry i hope ive explained better ,, and thanks so much for your time regards Jim

You say:
"When I export"
What do you mean exactly by that?
You say:
"When I open it is black"
Please attach that score here in your message for examination
You say :
"Now the pdf"
I don't understand how is that related to the first part of your post at all

"i think its musescore 3" don't think, and be more precise, check Help > About
"i downloaded pro tools first" Huh? There's nothing like that in connection with MuseScore
Please attach that test score.
What PDF?
Reg. youtube: you need to go and deal with musescore.com about this, I guess. The MuseScore program and this site, musescore.org doesn't do anything with youtube
"doing a patreon on you tube" Huh??? I don't see any relation to the MuseScore program here
Forgetting about youtube for now, please attach your PDF file (the one that looks like a photo negative) and also the MuseScore file (.mscz) it was made from.
To attach a file to a forum post, use the file attachments area which has a blue button labelled "Choose a file". It's located below the box into which you type your forum comment.
This is a long shot but take a look at MUSESCORE> preferences > canvas. You may just want to try resetting to default. Check the settings for background and paper.
