How to Stop Program Counting Syllables
Brand new to this program. I need to add lyrics to a song, without having the program limit the number of words or syllables that a given note stands for. How can this be done? I've tried deleting the time signature altogether but even that doesn't allow me to do what I intend to do.

It's not really clear what you mean. If you attach your score - or a relevant excerpt - and describe what you are trying to do in more detail, we can understand and assist better.
If you want more than one syllable for a note separate them by Ctrl+Space as documented in https://musescore.org/en/handbook/lyrics#special-characters, this has got nothing to to with the time signature. Deleting the time signature is a pretty reliable way to corrupt your score BTW, unless it is in 4/4...
