macOS compatibility...
I just got a new MacBook Pro running macOS Catalina 10.15.5.
When I tried to install MuseScore 3 it gave me the error:
["MuseScore 3" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.
Chrome downloaded this file today at 11:04 AM from musescore.org]
Any word on when this will be resolved? Is there a workaround? Will I need to use an older macOS version to use MuseScore 3?
Thanks for any and all help, or links to relevant articles.

Thanks!
I found another way just before I saw your reply. But good to know I can do it from the Finder as well.
Found it. I had to go to System Preferences, General Tab. At the bottom there was a setting for "Allow apps downloaded from:" that was set to "App Store."
There was a message below that saying MuseScore 3 was blocked, and so I had to change the setting to "App Store and identified developers" and when I opened it again I just had to click "open anyway" after the warning/notification.
Easy fix. Just getting to know how this new computer and macOS works.
