Notes and Rests on the same vertical line.
Hi all,
I imported 1 midi file. In some measures I can look at some notes and rests on the same vertical line.
Since that measure has just 1 melody in it, there is no sense fot that rests.
I tried to delete rests. But there's no way to do so!

Voice 1rests can't get deleted. And the midi import apparently sees more than just one voice

If there is no overlap between notes, then multiple voices should not have been needed, but my guess is, there is overlap, and that's why multiple voices are needed, and with them, rests are needed to clarify which notes and rests belong to which voices and when they each come in. If that doesn't seem to apply, please attach the MIDI file and tell us where the problem occurs, so we can understand and assist better.

Thank you so much for your suggestion, I was moving from Rosegarden to Musescore but the problem was just the same, my lack of knowledge about layering.
Now that I've understood which is the problem, I can go back to my old software.
