I'm using musescore on a 4K laptop monitor, and the UI is scaled as if I was using a massive television for a monitor. There's no way to fix it, and the only seemingly possible solution is to use the command line to manually change the resolution, which I have tried to do several times and it has not worked. Why is there not an option in the program to change the UI scale? I just want to be able to use any of my screen space besides musescore: all other windows get squashed.

Indeed, there are some configurations where the monitor, driver, OS, and the Qt libraries we rely on mange to communicate the wrong resolution info to MuseScore. If we receive the wrong info, we have no way of knowing it is wrong, so that is why we provide the command-line options so you can correct it. You say you tried and couldn't get it to work, but you don't say what specifically you tried. Normally adding "-D 300" or whatever the true resolution in DPI is will work. If you continue to have trouble, it is best to ask for help on the Support forum, where there are many more people with lots of experience with different devices who would be able to offer further suggestions.
