How to duplicate lyrics for other parts?
I've been scanning in hymns (I guess it's called SATB format?) and then adding another stave for my bass player to help her better isolate the part to play. I love the 'Parts' function of Musescore and as such I created a bass part. The problem I have is that the lyrics seem to be "kept" with the piano Part.
Is there a simple way to get the lyrics over to the bass Part?

Copy and paste. Click the first lyric you want copied, shift+click the last to select the last, then Ctrl+C to copy, then click the starting note on the bass staff, Ctrl+V to paste.

This would be copying from the main score to the bass Part?

Easier to just copy right there on the score, but either way should do the same thing.

I guess I'm "concerned" about so much duplication on the main score, but at the end of the day I suppose that's not that big a deal. :)
One thing I ran across, unfortunately some of the lyrics are attached to a different Voice, so when I select all the lyrics the words attached to different voices don't get selected? I tried to change the Voice for those words but the program won't let me do it. I'd hate to have to re-type that stuff but looks like I'll have to.

Depends on your purpose for having a score to begin with. The usual / expected one is that so the conductor knows exactly what the players are seeing. And in that case, it's normally very bad to lie and have things in the part that the conductor doesn't know are there. But there can indeed be some special case scenarios where this can be OK, such as if the information if duplicated elsewhere and doesn't add value here. So in that case, simply mark the lyrics invisible in the score.
If you attach your actual score we can assist better regarding the selection, could be that using the right-click menu will work better for this case than the click / shift+click method.
As for disassociated a part from the score, if you do Save As while viewing the part, you'll get a separate file containing just that. But this should be a last resort only, almost never needed in practice when you can simply make things invisible or make other manual adjustments independently.

I've wanted to attach scores but I'm not sure about the copyright issues? If I'm posting something I recreated in Musescore that was written and arranged by someone else, and post it here there could be issues? Would you help me understand that better?

I hear your concern, but realistically, you have nothing to worry about. This isn't a score sharing site, it's incredibly unlikely anyone will ever download the score other than those of us trying to help you fix problems. And if somehow the copyright owner ever did get wind of it and complain, worst that happens is the website maintainers are asked to remove the attachment. I don't think that has ever happened in the 10+ history of this forum. Happens on musescore.com all the time of course, but that's a completely different scenario.
Anyhow, you can also delete all but the relevant portion of any score you attach here to reduce the already-close-to-zero likelihood of complaint even further.

Understood! Thanks for that. I have a lot of respect for musicians, obviously, and I wouldn't want to offend/steal/get banned. :)
As far as this question goes it has been very well answered. Next question I have I won't worry about posting the score. Thanks again!

Well, looks like the lyrics when pasted on the Part get migrated back to the original score.
Is there a way to permanently separate the Part from the main score?

You can make the lyrics on the bass part invisible in the main score select them and press V
As for the lyrics in another voice, it would be necessary to see the original to give advice on how to make the copy process easier.
