Move notes by time?
It frequently comes up that I'll enter a few notes, then realize that they are early or late by a beat or so. Is there a way to insert or remove a quarter note or other duration of "time" to a part, without affecting any measure lengths? Effectively, I'd like "shove" notes one way or another horizontally. I haven't found an easy way to do this, but I've had other things I couldn't figure out how to do that were solved by simply asking a question in this forum

You have to cut and paste to do this.
The alternative is to insert the note (ctrl+shift+notename) to increase the measure length, then go to the end of the measure and delete the extra rest(s). You'll know you did it right when there is not + or - above the end of the measure. You do need to be careful to assure the measure is the correct length so it's not often suggested that you do this. It might be very much worth the effort if there are about 10 or more notes in the measure to move but cut and paste is at least as easy in my opinion.
