Tutorial video for Windows 8 MuseScore users released
Installing the new MuseScore 2 Beta is not as straightforward in Windows 8 as it used to be.
This video tutorial takes you through the necessary steps in Windows 8.1 to get it up and running.
Hope it helps someone :)

good video to get the link onto desktop but it sucks that window 8.1 got it all wrong doing away with the start menu in first place. You can also install programs to get start menu back. I personally use Classic Shell due to its small size and being free. Musescore icon would be in the start menu just like in win 7 :)..

It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to fish each newly installed app out of the All Apps list!
That is a Windows 8.1 aberration!
At least the original Windows 8 installed a shortcut in the Start Page.

Yeah MS just need to wise up and admit it. IF it's not broken don't fix it... All their attempts to fix the start menu in 8.1 are miserable experiments. If they want the tablet look, they should start with a desktop full of icons with some small side bars showing weather news, etc, not making those stuffs being the big tile and hides all the program icons....
Better yet just go back to the original 7 menu if it detects being installed on a desktop computer....

FWIW, I'm getting used to launch app via Windows Key + Q, type MuseScore, press Enter.
