Can't update?

I'm trying to update to the October 16, 2020 version of MuseScore on iMac and it's not letting me. Whenever I open the app, it brings up a pop-up asking me to update. When I try to click it, my computer makes an "error" noise. It won't let me interact with anything on the pop-up to update the app. It also won't let me access MuseScore, as if it's insisting that I update first. Could anyone help me with this problem? Thanks.
