Held Note in Second Ending
Hi Everyone,
Please see the score image below: I've added a second ending after a repeat to a line of music but the note in this second ending is held for an extra beat into the next measure. I can fix this by using a slur instead of a tie in the preceding volta but would like to know if there is a solution that retains the tie. Or perhaps I have entered something incorrectly?
In other words, the dotted half-note on F with the quarter rest plays correctly in ending 1, but in ending 2 the half-note on F in that the half-measure continues for one beat over the B (actually B-flat) in the following measure.
Thanks for any help with this. Much obliged!
David
