MuseScore 3.6 keeps crashing

Every time I try to open up MuseScore 3.6, it keeps crashing before I can even make a new file

OK, read it and so what? I'm not an IT expert. I love music and arranging though.
The link seems to refer to an older version than 3.6

It links to 2 issues, the 2nd relevant for 3.6 only (and to scores in continuous view that contain repeat barlines), the 1st relevant for both.

Same issue. Couldn't start the program at all, and trying to opening an existing file. I just reinstalled it completely and now it works. It seems it's a poor installer for this version.

II got the same problem, after the update, Musescore keeps craching? Cannot do anything anymore!

Try the same solution:
Reboot your PC and run the installer again (without starting MuseScore)

I wish I hadnt updated. It has crashed 3 times in 2 hours. Im doing nothing unusual, just editing notes. Really frustrating. Does anyone know how to download the earlier version?

And reports the steps you did to get to a crash, in case this crash still happens in 3.6.1, else it will never get fixed
