First and Second Endings Sound Volume
Hi Everyone,
A formatting issue: I have two endings, with first and second brackets, which play through as expected except the second ending is much louder than the first ending. I'm not sure if there's merely a volume difference or the first ending notes are being held in some way or something else. I tried re-setting the brackets, removing the slurs, and other things. I don't remember ever having this problem before so I must have done something wrong with the input.
Anyway, I'm posting here an image of the endings. Probably an obvious mistake that I hope I'll get as soon as I post this.
Thanks, as always, for any help!
David

We can't really listen to an image, consider sharing (part of) the actual score file itself that shows the issue.

I'll see what I can do, jeetee. I didn't know if this was a common issue with an obvious workaround.
Thanks.

Maybe How to create ties leading into a 2nd ending helps here

Okay, Jojo. Thanks for the link. I must have mis-formatted something.

Hi Everyone,
There is a simple fix for this specific problem which I now realize I had used in the past: instead of placing a tie between the notes leading into the first repeat, use a slur and then connect the notes between the two repeats with a slur as well. The holdover volume problem is solved and playback is now normal. The slur can be adjusted to look like a tie.
Just in case someone has this specific issue.
Thanks for all the help.

Hello David!
I found your research on this tool very interesting, however I did not understand the how-to procedure that you guided. Could you please attach a small example that I can practice?
Thank you very much.
Hug!
