Musescore crashes after being idle for too long

If I stay idle on the program or do something else while Musescore is running in the background, after about 30 minutes if I try to play a score or input notes it freezes. I'm not sure if this is an issue with Musescore specifically or if I need to change something outside of Musescore. Thanks.
