Can't change measure size with the brackets
Hello, I have can't seem to decrease or increase my measures using the shift+brackets. I do as indicated by selecting the measures to be decreased/increased, then holding the shift key then the corresponding bracket needed. Nothing happens! Is there another way of changing measures?

Why Shift+(Square)Brackets? it should be Shift+(Curly)Braces

Hello Jojo, thank you for your input. I had read and saw on Youtube that using the Shift+bracket would expand or decrease the measures. I am in Belgium and by trial and error I found out that using AltGr+surly braces works. All the best. Hiram-Gyle Waddy

It is the Curly Braces that work. How you enter those depends on kyboard layout, it is wiith Shift on US keboards, with AltGR on a German one (and others)
On my Swedish keyboard the curly braces are produced with AltGr+7 and AltGr+0
And this does not work in MuseScore to do the strech thing. I always have to go into the menus to do this. My plan is to add a new shortcut for this.

Same on the German keyboard, and those do work (I'm using them all the time and ever since). Brackets though (AltGr+8 and 9) don't though (these are shortcuts for loop mode anyhow)

Most likely, though, there is some other reason, like there is a system break preventing more measures from fitting, or you've hit the minimum, or you are increasing the relative stretch factor for multiple measures at by the same amount at the same time, which of course results in no visible change (they keep the same relative size).
In order to understand and assist better, we'd need you to attach your score and tell us which specific measures you are trying to stretch.

Or they were just confusing a brace for a bracket

On my keyboard (US QWERTY), curly brace is Shift+bracket.
