How do I copy lyrics from a text file to the score

I tried to input a text /lyrics to a score. As the handbook said I should copy it to the clipboard. Bur where do I find that? I can't open such a clipboard. I can't find it in the menu. Tried to find an answer in the handbook. But was not successful. Any help is very wlecome. I use MuseScore version 3.6.2

To further clarify: The "clipboard" is a part of your operating system/desktop environment where things you copied or cut go to. It is something you usually don't explicitly access yourself.

If you copy something in any program, the copied content will reside in that special area waiting for it to be pasted somewhere (or discarded when something else is copied).
