Default language based on the region format and not the system language
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64
MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548021803, revision: 3224f34
PROBLEM
When MuseScore is set to the default "system language", it does not read the system language, but instead the regional formatting language.
The regional settings determines date, time, number, currency formatting. It does determine the language of the months, but that is as far as it goes. It does not determine the language of software.
The system language determines the language of Windows itself, and all Microsoft software, and other software reading this value properly.
MuseScore isn't alone with this issue. VLC, Notepad++ and other software also incorrectly reads the regional settings instead of the system language.
HOW TO REPRODUCE
Since you are likely having your system and regional settings set to the same language. Switch your regional settings to a different language (search for "regional settings"), and apply the change. Restart MuseScore if it's open. If it's set to "system language", it should now be in the new language, if a translation exists.
EXPECTATION
When the regional settings and system language are not set to the same language, MuseScore should default to the system language, and not the regional settings.
SCREENSHOT
In the screenshot, it shows MuseScore in the settings, where the language (Idioma) is set to system (Sistema). Then overlayed is the regional settings (Nationella inställningar) set to Spanish (Spanska). The regional settings window is displayed in Swedish, since this is the system language. But MuseScore instead follows the regional settings.
