MS Studio — Closing a laptop
Hello,
I run MS Studio (MSS) on an Apple Macbook Air, and it's mostly great.
One curiosity (that drives me mad!) is that if I temporarily close the laptop (without Quitting MSS), and reopen it, MSS will still be running EXCEPT that the Sounds playback is broken — nothing sounds, not even when pressing on a note on the score. Therefore, I have to restart MSS every single time.
Why does this happen and can I stop this?
Thanks.

You can't stop it. Unless you have power setting on your Mac that doesn't put it to sleep when you close it.

"Fair enough"
Well not really for me.
Sound system broken in musescore after computer slept for a while is just a super annoying bug that has never received enough attention

Sibelius does the same thing. Just because it doesn't work the way you think it should doesn't mean it's broken. In my book there are way more important things that need to be fixed I learned long ago to not put my computer to sleep anyway. Doesn't save that much time.
