This error message appears to be a bug that is caused by trying to convert a PDF score with a tambourine line.
I have used the MuseScore website to convert a PDF to a Musescore mscz file, and then downloaded the MuseScore file.
When I try to open the mscz file I get the following message:
"This score was saved using a newer version of MuseScore. Visit the MuseScore website to obtain the latest version."
If I select "Ignore" the melody line of the score appears in Musescore, but without the tambourine line.
I am using MuseScore 3.2.3 under Ubuntu 20.04.2.
I don't have this problem with other PDFs.
